Toast by Mr. Jiapan, Vice Director of Industrial Diamond Association of China, and the General Manager of Nanyang Zhongnan Company
Ladies& gentlemen, distinguished guests, and dear friends,
Good Evening.
In order to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the birth of China’s synthetic diamond, we have gathered all our dear friends in the synthetic diamond industry from China and rest of the world to meet in this well-known historical and cultural city of China, Zhengzhou City. We are here to attend the 5th Zhengzhou International Conference on Superhard Materials and Related Products. Our purpose will be to review the development of the world’s industrial diamond industry in terms of its splendid history, flourishing presence, and hopefully bright future. We will of course exchange information about technology, products and trade, but most warmly we are here to meet old friends and make new friends. We wish this conference would strengthen our friendship with our world counterparts, as well as proudly exhibiting new technology and new products, which will then facilitate international trade and cooperation. Through omni-directional and multi-layer communications, we believe that this conference will achieve all these goals.
The splendid history of the world’s industrial diamond industry has spanned 54 years. The Chinese synthetic diamond industry has also gone through 45 extraordinary years. The development of synthetic diamond industry has facilitated the development of some new born industries for example the stone processing industry. Our industry has brought revolutionary changes to the traditional manufacturing industry as well as made our due contributions to the development of world economy. However, there are still many problems and areas that need to be addressed and developed. Our mission is still critical and we have a long way to go. The 21st century will be a time when synthetic diamond will play a very important role.
China has outpaced other countries in terms of the quantity of the synthetic diamond produced though our quality still lags behind that of the developed countries. Our world counterparts are not only our competitors but also our business partners. We have strong compatibilities and there is lots of room for us to cooperate. We ought to complement each other’s development in order to explore new application areas for superabrasives. We should achieve our shared goal of mutual development in order to benefit the world’s economy as well as its people.
I would like to take this opportunity when our world counterparts are all together to wish this conference a great success.
I propose to make a toast to the continued development of world’s superabrasives industry, to the contributions made by everyone, to the success of this conference, and to the health of all the attendees, Cheers! |
