Dear Secretary General Mr. Wu Bolin, Academician Mr. Zou Guangtian, the members of the Organizing Committee, and all Guests, Good morning and welcome.
   As we are still enjoying the exciting moment brought by the success of the Beijing Olympics in this beautiful fall season, we are here today for the significant event of our industry- the 5th Zhengzhou International Conference on Superhard Materials and Related Products as well as the Celebration of the 45th Anniversary of China’s synthetic diamond industry. Being a key member of IDA China and as a sponsor of this conference, we are honored to have this opportunity to share and learn from each other. On behalf of IDA China and the organizing committee, I would like to extend my congratulations for the opening of the conference and a warm welcome to all the colleagues from home and abroad.  
   After 45 years’ development, remarkable achievements have been made by China’s Superhard Materials industry. Credit goes to the leading role played by our colleagues in the developed countries, the support given by the government and IDA China, the contributions achieved by a several generations of Chinese scientists and engineers, as well as the effort made by the entrepreneurs and our colleagues. I would like to take advantage during this conference to extend my appreciation and respect to all the people involved in the overall process of China’s synthetic diamond industry development. 
   Henan Huanghe Whirlwind Holdings Limited has matured during the ups and downs of our industry. Our main products are superhard materials, related tools and machines. We are based in Changge City, Henan province. Our subsidiaries and R&D centers are located in Changge, Zhengzhou, Shanghai and Beijing. We have created the national enterprise technique center as well as the post - doctoral scientific research station. The brand “whirlwind” has been recognized as a famous Chinese brand in the consecutive years. Our company has taken the responsibilities of establishing and modifying the national standards related to the synthetic diamond manufacturing. Huanghe Whirlwind is the first public company in our industry.
   During all these years, with the guidance from IDA China, and the cooperation from the colleagues in our industry, we are proud and delighted that we have made our due contributions to the development of our industry and achieved some of our high goals. 
   The current changes in the international economic environment as well as the domestic macroeconomics have caused influences on our industry. While we are facing more opportunities we are also tested by more challenges. We hope that more support and guidance can be given by the government institutions and IDA China in terms of industry integration, competition normalization, R&D investment, and overall industry upgrade. We also hope that we can strengthen the cooperation ties with all the colleagues in our industry. More attention should be given to the close combination of technology and production in order for us to achieve a healthy and sustainable development of our business. We firmly believe that all our efforts will be rewarded. As long as we work hand in hand and share our responsibilities and mission, we surely will achieve a brilliant future.  
   I would like to take advantage of this conference to thank all those people who have always been supportive and caring. All of the employees from Huanghe Company warmly welcome you all as our distinguished guests and friends. We wish the conference a great success and all the best to everyone.
